Objective 1: Programme Management
• Ensure that activities are conducted in the manner, time and conditions of the best interests of the beneficiaries;
• Provide professional and confidential counselling services to survivors of rape;
• Maintain data confidence at all time and stage of the counselling;
• Training, Mentorship monitoring and on-job support to community workers and MCH staff (active listening, basic individual counselling support);
• Organize weekly support group at MCH level and topic to be discussed (GBV awareness, service provision locally available);
• Provide support for the printing and distribution of IEC materials within the support group, the HC and the community;
• Provide information to the local population on GBV incidents and on the how to deal with possible consequences be it physical, mental, moral, social and spiritual;
• Strengthen and maintain a network with community leaders, service providers and camp management to ensure that survivors receive compassionate support from the community;
• Provide leadership and guidance regarding psychosocial support to all community workers to ensure activities meet basic practice standards;
• Visit victims of gender violence and their families in their homes to discuss the importance of Psychosocial support, mental health care after trauma (psychoeducation);
• Identify potential clients with the difficult coping process for counselling, psychosocial support and protection;
• Lead awareness-raising initiatives on GBV incidents and service provision available with MCH staff;
• Ensuring that beneficiaries receive adequate support;
• Manage work schedule according to the TOR and the objectives of the project;
• Establish a schedule of activities to be undertaken and ensure respect for this timetable;
• Managing the beneficiary selection and distribution of Dignity kits
• Addressing each case reported and compile a specific file
• Collaborate with the staff to ensure the correct referencing of cases and proper management
• Collaborate with community outreach activities
• Daily Filling registers
• Organize and conduct regular visits to beneficiaries who cannot or do not want to participate in counselling at MHCs;
• Refer patients to other specialists whenever necessary. (i.e.: mental health specialist, psychiatrist, protection cluster, where applicable)
• Provide individual counselling if asked by beneficiaries
• Provide ongoing monitoring of client’s status and maintain client’s documentation (files) accurately.
• Collect statistical data about sessions and counselling activities on weekly basis.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and regular attendance at counselling sessions.
• Maintain at all times a respectful attitude towards beneficiaries, colleagues, other professionals and staff.
• Participate and actively being engaged to the GBV cluster meeting
• Respect International standard guideline provided by the cluster, TWG, WHO. UNFPA and any other available resources

Objective 2: Management of Human and Financial resources
• Adhere to and respect the general humanitarian principles Respect the confidentiality of information
• Together with the PO manage the procurement and the financial component of the GBV activity
• Ensure compliance and proper use of the vehicle and equipment CESVI
• Representing CESVI consistently professional manner with rules established a partnership with partners, beneficiaries, state authorities etc.
• Respect local customs, especially the use of illicit substances (drugs), alcohol consumption in public places as well as clothing and religious customs
• Do not carry weapons and / or ammunition hold and / or wear military uniform

Qualifications;

• Bachelor Degree in the field of Psychology, Mental Health, Psychiatry or similar field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in development and humanitarian aid organizations with a role of counsellor, mental health Officer Psychiatry or psychologists. Midwife or Nurse with experience in Counselling
• Some masters and specialization courses in protection/GBV sector are well appreciated

Skills & Experience;

Essential

• Professionalism
• Knowledge of IDPs/rural context and of the main WHO standards
• Demonstrated skills in psychosocial support, Patient Education and communication
• Maintain confidentiality
• Strong computer skills particularly in MS Excel, literacy and numeracy
• Fluent in English
• Team player, flexible

Preferred;

• Prior experience in NGOs/INGOs
• Ability to be self-sufficient and resourceful.
• Ability and willingness to travel to projects and stay in basic conditions.
